MONSOON RAINS DELUGE PARK PLAZAS

Flood and Hail Damage
Monday, July 23

On Wednesday, PPCSA Manager Mike Strijek said Oscar and his crew are working to clear the walking paths. The association is also dealing with about 3 dozen lower-lying homes that suffered severe flooding, as well as ongoing drainage and erosion control issues. "We're doing what we can," Mike said, "and giving high priority when a resident is directly affected." He added that they would be bringing in some outside help for the drainage and erosion control issues caused by the flood.

Hail piled up in yards, crushed plants in the Community Garden, and stripped fruit from the trees.

Soil washed over walking paths, completely covering some areas and creating mini-beaches.
